What is the best way to store Italian silk ties? Is rolling them up and putting them in boxes better or hanging them? Your comments would be appreciated.

I have a drawer just for my ties now as they're starting to take up more and more space. I lay them out in the same manner as you usually see them on display at stores, it makes picking one for the day really easy and they won't get wrinkled or lose their shape that way.

When you say store do you mean put them away for several months? If so I can't imagine how much difference it would make whether you do as i do or roll them. I don't know if I'd hang them cause if someone knocks the hangar, all the ties might slide to one end or fall off completely and then when you take them out of storage you might have some pretty wrinkled ties. I'd say get a rigid box that won't get crushed and lose it's shape and lay them folded in half twice (you'll also probably occupy less space this way if that's an issue).
