Storing silk knots

    Do you tie the links together or leave them seperate? I'm a bit concerned if tying will stretch out the links and decrease their longevity.

    I tie them so it makes it easier to retrieve a pair without fumbling too long in my links' box. Perhaps it does stretch them out somewhat but that's how they have them in some stores in a big bowl, and at < $5 a pop, I don't really care if they last for 10 years.

    Unless the silk knots are not tied tightly and become tighter allowing the elastic bit to become longer, they shouldn't stretch if you leave them tied.
