Pay/Half

I don't know how people have the patience for these stores man. You try to totally forget the fact that there's always a crowd, super long lines, the word "customer service" doesn't exist once you step foot in the doors. You couldn't drag me into a Century 21, I don't care what's going on in there

I went into Filene's Basement and Loehmann's when I was in NYC this summer with my girlfriend.

I'm not sure how many locations of either store are in NYC, but we went to the two stores on the Upper West Side. Neither were as big as Century 21, but the two of us had more success at those two stores than we did at Century 21.

I think all three are worth checking out. But you can't go into any of the stores telling yourself you're going to buy something. You need to go in and accept that you may walk out empty handed.

Could someone recommend what locations would have the best chance of snagging good stuff?

I haven't been to the Brooklyn Century 21 location (only the Manhattan one) but I've heard that it is less picked over because it's not as busy at the downtown Manhattan store.
