And they have yet to discuss service plans. I would guess it will be $80 (based on what they offer now) before taxes and all the random charges. That's a whole lot of money for a cellphone.

And one that as of now does not seem even nearly as capable as the competition. Hmm, deja vu

. I think the dial on the blackberry makes a lot more sense even though it's a bit less sexy. (side note- I did enjoy the Treo despite its shortcomings) Apple may have done a good job-- I will wait and be proven wrong. All I am saying is I am skeptical based on past experience.

Understandable. But damn that thing is sexy. I'll wait and check it out. Hopefully it will be good and hopefully I can afford one.

I would still rather take any of the higher end Japanese/Euro/Korean Cell Phones over that any day of the week. Also does the iTV interface look a little too "Windows Media Center" for anyone else.

Yeah, but don't forget that Apple is a USA-centric company. The networks over here lag behind technology in Europe & Asia. In many areas there are no options for high speed data plans.
And I agree with you on rather spending that money on something more practical and capable.
(Come on Nokia, you KNOW you want to lower the price of the N95

Oh, and there are quite a few. (not as many, duly noted apple fanboy) 3rd party apps for Symbian OS.
