Another good discussion.
Real answer: I don't think they look feminine, but I don't really like them. Too much contrast for non-real tortoise. As for the shape, no point in answering without seeing them on you, but they are fine in the abstract.

I used to read YW, especially their forum, but I get nauseous every time and had to stop.

Facebook IPO money can get you glasses made from Harriet.

In contrast non-real would require you to wait until the Mr. Porter sale goes from Founder to public. And then, you only get plastic.

Have you considered really gigantic eyeglasses, à la Swifty or Foofy?

Something that a vagrant can squeegee when you stop walking?

this raises an interesting possibility. perhaps with the right super sized frames you could attract a 'style groupie' to follow you about wherever you go. in payment for the honor of being seen in your train he could become your 'exclusive' squeegee bearer.

so, i went to lens crafters to try on some persols, and a pair of PRLs that jrd suggested in his PM. they only had the PRLs in black, no tort, and they only had 2 persol frames in the whole store, no tort. there is another LC about 30 minutes from me that has a whopping 3 pairs of persols. yipee!

baltimore sucks.

i think i will have to order demo pairs from a website, and send back what i dont like. this is really turning out to be significantly more difficult than i expected. :fu:
