Stirrup Cufflinks

It would be nice to learn what the members of this august forum think of Stirrup 'Etrier' style cufflinks made popular by the French Jewellers in the 1930s to the 1950s.

I found a pair of cartier stirrup links at bergdorfs in NYC....wish i wouldve got them.....i havent seen a pair in my price range since.
