I would love some advice/thoughts on this suit.

http://www.ehaberdasher.com/servlet/...dsh-40R/Detail

I am looking for a suit to wear out to weddings and functions - likely about 5-10 times a year. I already own a lower quality navy pin stripe suit and am looking to purchase one more suit - I think solid charcoal. I would like a modern cut - but not so tight I feel molested. From reading through this forum people seem to like the stile latino brand and getting a suit that retails for over $3K for under $700 seems like quite a bargain. Hard to get a good feel for the suit from the pic on the website so any help would be appreciated. Am I on the right track or should I be looking at other brands - or perhaps ordering a made to order suit from thick as thieves or indochino? Please keep in mind that I wont be wearing the suit enough to warrant spending a truckload of cash - so please dont recommend kiton etc.

I don't know much about suits, so any help is greatly appreciated.

Do you wear suits a lot?
or
Is it just for any special occasions?

if your job requires suit, I would go for it.

But 5 - 10 days in a year? I don't know about that. I would just look for $400 - $500 canvassed suit + basic altering.

If you say you want a modern cut but not overly tight, then stile Latino sounds perfect. I hate mohair blends though, but that mite be just fine for you

Thanks for the responses. Based upon replies to this thread and a little more research into wool/mohair blends I have decided to pass on this suit and keep looking. Would welcome any specific suit suggestions based on my original post.

seeing as you're in Boston, you might want to talk to Vittorio and schedule a visit to the store. I'm not sure where in Boston or how near he his, but it's worth a try. Website: morigimilano.com.
