It's my favorite piece. I have the one from the fall that is a little thicker. You can layer underneath and mine fits perfect and looks smart.

For $300 I'm sure you can do better but I haven't seen very many designers offer something similar. I tried one on at a sample sale when they were going for $135 and even then I wasn't too impressed. I realize they're meant not to restrict movement but I didn't like the way it fit on me.

SA's sizing can be all over the map but this jacket fit TTS.

I guess to each their own, but I've worn mine throughout the winter and love it.

You might look at albam's wax coats. They are a bit more reasonably priced, but I believe are even less of a slim fit.
