Fabric on the Gemini Cardigan is great. Sized up one, regret not purchasing it earlier in a IV.

Gemini was a highlight of SS14. Schneider does a lot of cardigans but he really nailed that one.

Pictures on NMWA did that piece the most justice, but it's not until you actually touch and feel it that you really fall in love with it. Great piece.

I think this is the case for most of SS going off my limited experience. I'd say fit is the hardest part especially since the fabric is so nice you can decieve yourself.

I agree. The crispness and gumminess of that cotton knit was unique. Sadly, that knit structure is not coming back for Ss15 but maybe ss16?

There are so many leftover SS peices that I think are sleepers, but I am holding out for the suspension point drops before i initiate kopping

Strange that the black cardigan is called Storm, the grey in seemingly the same style is called Frost, and then Neighbour has the same cardigan and calls it Poa knit storm. (Poa the grass?)

I think that Poa is the name of the style while Storm and Frost are names of the colors. As another example you can see that Neighbbour has the Moss (name of the style) shirt in both Dove and Arctic (names of the colors/fabrics). The color/fabric names repeat across styles, Neighbour also has the Pine pullover in Dove.

Poa is a genus of grasses, and, more generally, the grass family is Poaceae. A couple of the other pieces are named for plant genera, Juncus is a genus of rushes and Plantago is a genus of fleaworts.

Mindtrive has lots of stuff up if you are a 3 or 4 and don't mind proxying, or just to check out their cool buy.

Wow, thanks for this. Truly fantastic buys, and not just for Schneider. I was never really into Sacai, not even being too impressed by their stuff in real life, but man, some of the Sacai stuff Mindtrive has up at the moment goes way beyond shirts-with-drawstrings, I'm probably going to be buying at least one or two pieces

Yes, this is right on - each garment has a name (in this season, Winter Weeds, typically dealing with plants), and most, but not all, fabrics are also given names to go along with their internal numeric codes.

Some names may be used on different fabrics though, so it can get a bit confusing when something like "night" might be used on a solid color cotton/linen blend, but also used on a multicolor plaid wool. They tend to be very thoughtful and moderately evocative though, so I find the naming convention a nice touch.
