Sleeves are quite long otherwise I might agree with you jet. I'll sleep on it.

tonio I'll grab some measurements for you. The waist is elastic with a two button closure, plus buttoned fly, which seems a little odd. I got a size 4, and I wear size 30 mostly. The fit is loose, but I'll measure the thigh also

^2nd that. Looks pretty good as is, you could size down but a very slim fit SS knit just seem a little off to me.

waist aligned: 14" and they stretch past 17" I'd say
    front rise: 11"
    thigh at crotch measurement: 11.5"

Tight fit knits are no good, but I think the sweater Regg posted looks more wrong size than oversized.

I appreciate the measurements and feedback on the Tallow trousers, Regg. I have two versions of the stone trousers from this past SS season (the blue cotton version SW carried and the double faced black checked version WW carried both in a size V), which are essentially the same pant design just different names, but they each fit differently. The blue cotton I could have gone with my regular size IV, but no way I could have squeezed into a IV on the checked version. So sounds like these wool Tallow ones are more in line with the blue stone version.

Anyway, long winded thanks for the win!

If I'm a 46 with a big chest, should I get the alloy sweater in IV or V?

regg i think it looks good. it just needs to find its proper shape after a few wears...could even manually stretch out the hem down and the sleeves out too

    Hey Jet,

It runs pretty true to size, I wouldn't size down.

    I wouldn't say it's stretchy..fairly structured.

I haven't seen navy but wine looks great in real life. Either way, it's a great knit and imo, a highlight of this collection.

Get the wine, jet. Navy colorways are always more available, and the wine melange is a really nice shade of purple. I've worn mine the last few days, it's great. I wouldn't say it's stretchy, but settles a bit in stiffness after wear. I would go TTS. I'm usually a IV in SS tops (a III in oversized knits) and kept my IV. I posted fit pics in III and IV a while back as you recall, preferred the fit of the IV as it was good for that comfortable knit feel, especially when worn over a button down and under a jacket.

I'm also a 41 chest and just got the 6 in the navy Bee. I find it fits well through the chest and shoulders, but is long in the arms and body (I'm 6'1).

Regg, Any chance you could post a fit pic of the tallow trousers. I'm really interested in these, but the fit pic on SP doesn't do them any favors....

The trousers on SP aren't the Tallow, they're a different straight leg/baggier cut.

...and whoever bought the size V, let me know if they don't work for you.
