    Yes it's good and godaddy is a decent host. Our site has been hosted by godaddy for four years with about 20 minutes of downtime total. Very reliable.

    Yup, and yup.

    Consider a pre-built CMS as well depending on your needs. A GoDaddy account would come with a whole bunch you could consider, from WordPress through to Drupal and probably many others I know nothing about. They'll save you a lot of work as long as you don't mind a somewhat canned-looking site.

    If you dont know anything about web design, go ahead and use something like Wordpress

    name.com for registering - cheaper, less BS than godaddy or other registrars, easier to get to the DNS functions/etc.

    HostGator offers some very nice, affordable packages for hosting.
