We use Huberd's for most of our rugged leather stuff at the shop.

Speaking of those boots, here they are after 10 months of heavy wear:

And we are taking orders for the next run of these now. Give us a shout if you're interested.

Are you guys carrying 1st Pattern for S/S? And is this their Los Alamos stuff I've been seeing on Instagram? Or is that F/W 17 already?

We are carrying 1st PatRN for spring, it's in the air, and should land this week. I think the Los Alamos collection is for SS17. We didn't order the shirts, though, the fit was really wide.

Would be awesome to be able to try these on in the states. Can't see myself pulling the trigger on one anytime soon, though.

I don't think we're going to pull the trigger this year, we've got so much leather coming in that we have no way to merchandise the line.

Yes, those are custom toe-bumpers, you are correct

    The Real McCoy's
    Military Canvas Training Shoes

There’s a proliferation of made-in-Japan vulcanized sneakers lately, but most are being made up from stock components with a new label slapped on.

The Real McCoy’s once again steps above the fray, and produces a perfect example of what appears to be a very simple product on the outside with their Military Canvas Training Shoe in natural, black, and olive canvas.
While these aren’t an exact reproduction of any particular military sneaker from the mid-20th century, they pull influences from those, along with styling cues from early Converse and Keds (among others). One touch is the date stamped inside the tongue - “18 DECEMBER 1944” - which is the day when Douglas MacArthur was made a five-star general in the US Army.
Every aspect of these sneakers is carefully considered, and custom for The Real McCoy’s, starting with the last. The toe bumpers, foxing, and outsole are all made from custom molds, and the canvas upper is woven just for these sneakers, delivering a sneaker that could be deadstock from an earlier time.

Picked up this 1st PAT-RN jacket recently. It's full of interesting details that you don't really noticed until you handle it. The fabric has something of an usual twill pattern to it and it's substantial.

Here are some not very great indoor photos of some of the cool details
    [IMG]
The cuffs aren't open but have this sewn-in triangle gusset thing, which looks pretty cool left open too.

The hip pockets have an extended pocket bag that folds over to secure them. Same detail as I have on a piece of British mil-surp I have, so it's authentic I guess.

Buttons are the right size and an interesting shade of cream/yellow. You can also see the twill in this photo I think.

Chest pockets also have clever fastenings.

Whole front looks clean because all but the top placket button are hidden when fastened. Also Jeremy pointed out that the collar is designed to take a little bit of a lapel roll naturally, which it does indeed.

Cristiano told me that dense twill used to be used in Italian raincoats. All of the details are indeed authentic, as he pulls from a pretty big archive, and knows his stuff.

Fit looks great on you - what size did you pick up?
