And I hear you on Tokyo - I used to complain about it but I have not set foot in Japan in 19 months so I’ll happily deal with getting smooshed on the Yamanote line. Hell, at this point I’d even fly into Narita willingly!

I know what you both mean. My wife is Japanese and we usually spend at least a month in Tokyo every year, but longer if I have research funding and other reasons to be there longer. We were last there in March 2020, but we came back when they closed the schools so there was no real point to my son being there... there are all sorts of weird things I miss: obviously the food, but things like cycling at night in the warmer months, running along the Arakawa, and, yes... above all, the cool little shops in Jingumae, Omotesando, Ebisu and everywhere... when I was actually able to feel ts(s) or 45r (and no doubt Black Sign and NNN, although I hadn't come across them) stuff for example, it was a revelation because you realise how much of a level up in quality they are from most things in North America that they might superficially resemble.

BTW, I should just say - I love your shop: the aesthetic, the care - it's all the kinds of things I love about small shops in Tokyo. I'd say it was the nearest thing online in the English-language world to those places I miss so much.

You absolute mad man, but I understand that feeling there. I've only ever lived in western Japan so I never have had to deal with some of the stuff people deal in Tokyo but when ya got friends in there. it really opens up wide. Makes ya wanna deal with the bullshit to get that fix.

That's a good fit.

I love McCoy's tops but the high & tight armholes just kill me. Otherwise I'd be right there with you on those westerns.

We've been working behind the scenes on this announcement for months - really since the beginning of the year.

TL;DR if you don't like clicking - 1% of our top-line revenue is going to RUNWAY.
They do a better job describing themselves than I ever could:
We are 100% Black and Brown-women led. Our work helps build Black community wealth through early-stage funding, holistic business support and innovative financial products and partnerships.

It wasn't as simple as "find cause, give money" - both parties had to vet each other, we've had countless meetings discussing our respective companies and what we were both looking for in partnerships. I'm excited to work with RUNWAY, they're excited to work with us, and it's a great fit.

They are definitely slim arms and high armholes for a 17, but the overall fit works well for my weird, cake-fed frame, I think.

Released one of the best whiskey's I have ever had today.

Yes, it is not inexpensive, but just the grains in this bottle cost more than most mid-tier whiskeys. It's coming in hot at 60% / 120proof but a quick cut with distilled water opens it right up to a world of flavor that doesn't exist elsewhere.

Being Canadian and dealing with a completely different set of liquor laws I am amazed that one can casually sell whiskey on his e-commerce store.

It's a very narrow license (CA/NY/AZ), and we're shipping from a 3rd party. Since we only handle money and we don't distill etc, we can do this. We're chipping away at getting more states opened up and distribution where we can't ship.
