stamped size on tramezzas

i'm trying to figure out what sizing system is stamped on the sole of tramezzas. is it in uk or us? does it vary depending on where its sold?

The ones I have are all stamped with the US size (and purchased in the US)

I think US size, I bought Tramezzas in US and size was for US.
Also in Moscow Ferragamo boutique on Tramezzas sole stamped US size.
Several italian shoesmakers have US size.

I would assume they are the same everywhere. Though I can't say I can be of much help. Mine are 11 EEE and I would have assumed they were US since I usually wear 11US 10UK on other brands.

However a post over at AskAndy indicated the US11 were Ferragamo 10. I sometimes move up or down half or a full size depending on the shoe so I rarely go by size alone - more a try and see approach. I would happily receive advice on the right approach (without hijacking this thread)

thanks for the help guys. i was getting confused there. I'm trying to figure what sizes of shoes to buy online, and had tried on a tramezza stamped 8.5 eee back while i was travelling, which fit fantastically. Unfortunately it was outside my budget. So I'll have to try buying it online somehow. If anyone knows of a good deal on wide tramezzas please let me know.

I'm used to wearing 43s, and that apparently corresponds to a us9, which confused me. I'm now pretty sure i've been buy a half size up for the extra width in narrower shoes.

btw anyone know the equivalent widths for the ferragamo eee in AE and CJ?
