Alright, I just purchased these Grenson/Stuart's choice loafers a few weeks ago and despite only having worn them a handful of times, I have managed to stain them somehow. I was busy schmoozing at an event and didn't notice that something had dripped on them. My best guess is that it was either pineapple juice or perhaps residue from from pizza or some other greasy food. I've noticed that if water gets dripped on the shoes it will leave a dark spot on the leather that will go away in about 15 minutes, but as you can see in the attached images, these have not disappeared.

I am just staring to learn about shoe care and don't know the best way to go about removing these stains. If I do manage to take care of the stains, is there some treatment I should be performing regularly (in addition to polishing) that will prevent this? Thanks for your help, everyone!

Soap and water should remove the stains.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
