Is anyone celebrating St. Patrick's Day tonight? Or do you view it as amateur hour, second only to New Year's Eve?

I always go out for St. Patty's day. It's also my sisters Bday so I go out boozin regardless. It just bothers me that every other douchebag who pretends to be Irish and cant handle their drink and give the Irish a bad name.

I'm not Irish, I am far from being Irish, but if my Irish friends want me to tag along, I don't think I'm pretending to be Irish. On top of that, I do not wear green, so that's that. I just go out and socialize.
This day was invented to simply go out and have fun... I don't think there is anything wrong with that either.

So, only the Irish can handle their alcohol?

I sometimes go out for a drink on St. Patricks day, but I am not compelled to do so with any regularity.

I was driving back from a friend's house this evening, and I was driving through Wrigleyville where all the fresh college graduates hang out. I saw many people having fun and obviously drunk (at 9pm on a Tuesday), but I did not feel like I was missing out on anything.

Everyone's Irish for a day. I think it's a pretty lame day personally, but not as bad as V-day.
