Wait a minute ... is there any chance that SG and Fritzl might have been talking about Lattanzi and not bengal-stripe? Or am I just hoping for a miracle? It seems unbeleivable to me that these two gentlement spoke ill of bengal..

    ...
Neither did I comment on a pair of Viennese boots. posted recently here. Everybody went ga-ga about then. I don't like the white piping, looks to my mind just like a t-shirt poking out of some shirt collar. But did nobody see the poor leather on the inside vamp: looks to me like something from the belly or neck. That leather should have ended up on the floor, not in a boot.

Thanks so much for pointing this and other things out. I heartily agree w/ the others above that you're one of the treasures of SF.

+1000. Totally uncalled for. I can absolutely understand Manton's feeling toward that poaster.
yep, i agree it was totally uncallded what he did. he'll pay the price. he really messed around with the wrong person. ...and i still don't know, if he owns these shoes, not that it matters.

Bengal stripe - thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for breaking up the Brüno and Lutz show. [IMG] [IMG]

Bengal-Stripe has always been very generous with expert, reasoned, advice when I sought them. He is a gentleman that I would love to buy some pints some day.

I'll reserve my praise for the first seamless wholecut that is inclusive of a sole, sort of like a little bag that's tied around each foot.

I freely give this million dollar idea to Ron Rider.

Ha...thanks for the nod, Vox, but no interest here.

That's a bespoke pattern only, for sure. And not really commercially viable at the price it would require. Would look good in a museum though.

What are you, a fucking child??? You are exhibiting such an animosity that I can only think that you have a deep insecure hatred for someone who you know deep down can run circles around you in their knowledge of, and not to mention taste in, shoes. The shit you post pictures of, which you're so chauvinistic about, look like they belong on a cartoon mouse, not on any person who has a thread of taste and elegance.
