I had to pay this past February $540 for a pair of Clinch boots from Japan valued at $1200.

It's the same in Vietnam. And to add both insult and injury, they assess duties on the shipping charges as well!

That's just sadistic at that point.

Makes sense that there would be the emergence of local shoemakers. From a financial standpoint, the savings are substantial. Would also be able to monopolize the domestic market provided said maker was first rate.

Tough question as I had mines modified, but I'm going to say same size as the Carmina Rain, JL 7000, and 1/2 down from Alden Barrie.

EG.. I've heard mixed results with so it may be your UK8.5/9E or half size down (UK8/8.5).

Find a place with trial shoes and get fitted in person. Getting your own modified last is pretty cheap, and since you’re basically getting all MTOs with St. C you might as well make sure the fit is perfect.
