StC differentiates itself enough from those companies to warrant both purchase and wear. Also, it is hard to beat a SpTD in terms of versatility.
Haha I know and this is my 10th pair of SpTD :). It’s funny I still think I need 2 more i.e. dark brown or mink Janus suede and Redwood Dovers.

What are people's thoughts on the chukka? I've heard they're iconic but not really seeing a distinction with, say, a handgrade C&J chukka.

Look at the top line of the 524, it's gorgeous
It’s like a beautiful woman, it’s all about the curves my man.

This 👇🏻

It is more subtleties that separates the two. The topline, subtle curves from heel to toe, seamless appearance. The construction, being superior, is the part you don't see but know is present.

Are the above points enough to warrant double the price tag? 🤷🏻‍♂️. Only you and you alone can determine the subjective value.

I can say, in person, StCs just has an elegant presence about it when compared to the CJ's of the world. It does look more expensive, but that's just my impression. Y (and other's) MMV.

RUS brothers - how do you care for the leather? I found this online

1) is the trick to use more coloured wax (instead of pomm) and brush often? - im thinking this will potentially lead to more crackling as you wear...no?

2) also someone mentioned to use a cloth as oppose to brush?

any tips and tricks are greatly appreciated - TIA Ry
