Likelihood you occupy the same space on the same day wearing the same shoes are next to nil. That's why GMTO's pose no problem for me, although I've only participated in 2 my whole shoe life . Working on a third

The buckle chukka we talked about a couple pages back.
I actually found some super oily conditional works well on STC’s crust leather, I don’t have a before and after picture here, but after applying bootblack rich moisture on the shoes, it’s visually shiner than before.

Awesome, It's not your fault that I am buying something I don't need. I blame the fricken St. Crispin s classic last. It is the only last that I have seen oxfords, derbies, chukkas, and full boots and thought it fit all of them. I usually prefer a square toe on my wingtips, but the stupid classic last, made me rethink that too.

The Classic last is representative of its name. It has this and that with the right amount of nothing. Not sure why, but I feel like it could slot into EG's offerings seamlessly.

That is funny, I was thinking the exact same thing. I was looking at the EG lasts, and I thought, "dang, if I like the StC classic last so much, then I will probably like these EG lasts too."

I think that's why EG enthusiasts find it easy to use StC's lasts. The Classic last functions in the same way EG does (wardrobe suitablity). StC just provides the HW'd element at basically the same or lower the price.

I think that sums it up well.

There's nothing crazy that stands out. Like a strong chisel / square toe, or overly round toe, or super small waist.. but it all comes together with such great harmony.

With other brands, I'll try on their different lasts and have preferences for which last to go with which models. But for STC I just think of their classic last. Maybe I've just gotten older and like things to be consistent.

There's a lot of that going around. Getting older.

I said that about the StC's previously. There's nothing glamorous or glitzy about their shoes. That harmonious symmetry you mentioned is the main contributor to the unidentifiable elegance that is StC.

I can really recommend BICK4 for StC Crust. That's the only thing I use on them.
