    Thanks for the quick reply.

I'm thinking of going with the Riva or Classic.

I currently only have experience with their Sailor Last.

Personally, I think the classic is best for this shoe....

Any specific reason you like the classic over the riva with this shoe best?

Well, the "bump" on the nose of the Riva last would look off..... I just don't like that last anyhow.

Funny, the blog I just read actually stated the writer liked the Riva Last on shoes of this nature because of how the light plays off of the bump

.I'm kind of torn right now, but I intend on making my final decision NLT than Friday

I'm starting to consider what color or colors I want to use. Leaning towards one color, 606 calf (The brown in the photo) or possibly Olive like Leffot. I haven't been able to find many other examples on the internet..

Thanks for providing me with your insight and opinions.

    Cheers,

    Dan

I'm thinking the brown calf looks best at least in regards to the one color I have seen so far.

The spectators are also nice but I was thinking the suede may not last quite as long as the calf.

    Thanks for the extra pictures.

I didn't realize the first one was yours. Very nice.

I actually thought this was regular calf however.

Thanks. It looks like regular calf but it is definitely crust. It is dyed, but not finished aside from the toes and heels that are highly polished. A very cool look, but difficult to maintain esp if you get water on the non polished parts of the shoe....

In fact they were sharp enough I went ahead with this make-up. [IMG]

    I hope you don't mind?

Shane at Leather Soul said that they really only have a couple of leather swatches to choose from and he recommended using Alden water protector. He said that's what he uses on his SCs.

Let the 8 to 10 week countdown begin.
