These are not cordovan. They are "Russian" calf. Calf made to resemble 200yr old Russian Reindeer. I can't get the real stuff cause @MoosicPA is hoarding it all.

I love them. The texture is still subtle enough to not be overwhelming bit gives some great detail! I just love that shade as well!

This thread was helpful for me to pull the trigger on a pair so thank you and I figured I'd share. Color is not right in the photos as it is a deep rich brown with a hint of a red burgundy. Not so dark as in the photos but I am super happy a little stiff but the fit is spot on. I went for clean and simple single monks more as a daily shoe that could crossover between a suit and a pair of jeans. I may have to get another pair that are more dressy now that these came out so good!
