Pardon the lighting and photography but here is a shot of my new MTO burgundy oxfords.

I went with a little stitching around the lacing but I think I prefer the cleaner look of an adulterated wholecut. These shoes don't scream for attention but hey sometimes we need to tone it down.. The color is very nice. The staining has some interesting texture and overall I think the shade of burgundy is very versatile.

These shoes are made off a 4E last. I have small feet. Note to St. Crispin's: You need to supply us small footed friends with some shorter laces please.

    Will

I wear a UK9 and the laces are long as well! (Not on my 6 eyelet wholecuts, however).

StC offers flat laces in at least two lengths so you may want to check with your retailer or with Phillip directly.

I got these from Shop The Finest. Before I return, anyone interested in these at my cost?

Beautiful shoes, congrat :satisfied:. Is this the Novello last? Would describe the color as burgundy or more reddish?
    Thx

I sent off a pair of my St. Crispies for a re-sole. I do miss them. :(

How long have you owned those StC before re-sole? I am assuming you wear/walk a lot in them. What's the pricing like for a resole, and what's included? Full resole, or everything but the waist?

I guess I have had the pair being sent out for about a year. That's pretty standard for me. I have another ~year old pair that's probably due soon I'll and out next month maybe. As to the price and what I am getting I'm actually not sure. I just dropped them at Leffot to take care of. I told them whatever the price is to just charge to my card on file. I guess I'll let you know when I get the bill! They said it is a half sole replacement and they also replace the welt. Makes sense as it is a pegged waist. I remember DW saying that a half sole is better when the waist is pegged.
