I should have done a before and after in the same light, but I mixed in black on these and it made a nice subtle change.

Looks great! Is the underlying color more of a mid or cherry red?

    What's the material code?

Those burgundy Austerity Brogues are a favorite.

Great picks Medtech, I especially love the brogues.

How does the Kudu suede feel, may I ask? Softer than calf suede? Is the leather also quite thin?

The kudu suede appears to be thicker than that of calf, with a more dense and raised nap. I'll be totally honest that I picked it more for color than for any appreciation of any inherent qualities of kudu. Phillip made up a pair of tasseled loafers for me last year in the exact kudu suede and it's held up really well.

Random plug for Saphir suede spray. I wore these very suede brogues for the first time today and it was quickly assaulted by coffee dripping from a Starbucks cup (ironically, this happened at the G&G boutique... go figure). Happy to report that the coffee wiped off completely without any trace of discoloration.

    Yep, and so were mine.

The only difference is that I went with a Dainite sole.

    Nice choice.

Dainite soles are nice and practical for certain weahter, but with the norwegian welt I went for the double leather sole. Did you post pics of yours yet? I'd love to see how it looks.

I understand, I knew the Dainite sole might not be a popular choice, but then again it works for me. Yep, posted pictures earlier but more than happy to post again. I certainly wasn't the first here either, I think Jerry Browne was and in fact it might have been his by design.

MoosicPa, you copied another member's MTO pair and the only detail changed was soles?
