Going to St. Barts in the not too distant future and have no idea what is considered appropriate attire. I ask this mainly because I have been invited by others and am trying to heed the maxim of neither over dressing nor under-dressing. I know this is a little of base, but hopefully the distinguished gentlemen can drop a little knowledge. Obviously, linens and cottons, but does it ever get more formal or is it pretty much unlined blazers and chinos at the most?

It is very casual. I am not aware of any public place that requires more than shirtsleeves.
