I found a pair of selvedge jeans made by a company called St&ard (Standard Jeans Co). Don't know much about them at all but I really like the fit of the jeans. The jeans say 'RAW' and when I asked the shop assistant whether they were raw denim, they mentioned that the 'raw' referred to the colour.

So my question is - are all selvedge jeans raw?

And on another note, does anyone know anything about St&ard jeans? I am based in Australia so it is possible that they are an Australian brand.

selvedge denim tends to be sold raw, however there are pairs that are pre-warn or pre-soaked. and i dont know anything about the brand in question.

I hate everyone of your ******* posts.

And yes, Selvage is raw denim. If you don't like the fit see a tailor.

So it's one of THOSE highly strung forums, I take it

Are you implying there's no love on this forum for anything pre worn/soaked?

Thanks for answering my question anyway!

I think that he means that you should have used one of the two different "questions" threads.
