So, I have a pair of shoes that I've put some thin leather insoles in. The Saphir ones that are solely leather for anyone interested and with flesh side down.

The issue is that it slides a little bit and squeaks against the insole of the sole.

Anyone have a solution?

Leather rubbing over leather is likely to result in a squeak. You must aim to isolate the two layers of leather.

Self-adhesive felt (from craft shops) stuck to the underside of the lay-in sole would be a very elegant solution. I had the same problem and came up with masking tape stuck on. Not so elegant and has to be repeated every year or two but cheap and working. Another thing that should work is a layer of talcum powder (baby powder is easily available). That will isolate the two layers. You will have to repeat it from time to time and you might have some powder sticking to your socks.

Just put foot powder between the two layers.

Will try some masking tape as suggested and if that fails will try some talc.

Thanks fellas.
