Hello gents,

I'm 32 now, but a few years ago (hopefully it was a really long time ago), I wore square toed shoes. I won't lie, I had some shoes similar to these:

I've recently learned it's a fashion faux pas to wear shoes like those. I'm trying to class up my wardrobe and I recently bought some Ted Baker chukkas, specifically these: http://www.dsw.com/shoe/ted+baker+ashcroft+4+chukka+boot?prodId=273432

My question is, they are obviously not round in the front, are these considered square toed shoes? Should I not be wearing these? Any thoughts on this matter would be great. Thanks!

@rajub

Those look pretty square-toed to me.

I would pass.

What environment would you be wearing these in? Formal business? Business casual? Casual?

Have you browsed the forum at all for what is considered "Style forum approved" footwear.

Yeah, even the product details describe them as square. There are other compelling reasons not to buy them though. If you search a little bit, you should be able to turn up a recent thread on decent shoes with lower price tags (which predictably goes off track, but starts off useful).
