Go with something more classic like a captoe oxford.

Bad Idea Jeans and square toed shoes are a match made in heaven.

BTW, I love that skit. Almost forgot about it.

Please ignore the Rockport name for a second and tell me if this would be considered one of the frowned upon "square toe" styles. Newbie here...will probably have pictures of a poorly fitting cheap suit to be commented on later.

I am trying to learn here so could you provide some useful commentary on why they are so bad?

I was looking at them in bourbon and thought they looked decent but more importantly seemed to make my size 13 feet appear regular sized on a 6' 1" frame. I am looking for a shoe <$150 as a post-college interview shoe. I apologize for the hijack.

This is a rule because....?

Let me clarify that I am a 24 year old American interviewing for scientific research positions in, of all places, Texas.
