I wish Simon would make the classic legs in grey -- truth be told I've been looking for a nice pair of grey jeans and at the same time wanted to feel how soft the Spurrs were, so I jumped on them at the Farinelli's sale. It was kind of a two birds with one stone deal. From people's reactions it's looking like it'd be a close call to have the thighs stretch enough to fall properly on my silhouette. My search continues!

Thanks for the comments, guys.

yeah, these are not best for people who have big thighs. they are best for people with slim legs wanting a slim, straight fit and who have problems with hip flare, which is my situation. Spurrs have the least hip flare of any jeans I have found.

I sized down two in the indigo and one in the greys. Both fit as I want them to. The greys I believe are a bit slimmer, which is why I only sized down one in them.

I agree and believe it is because the denim is softer than most raw denim. Especially with the greys.

I just bought some today. I'm taking pics later, but they fit really well and don't have the characteristic cardboard feel of new raw deniz.

yeah.. I figured it'd be okay if I went TTS, the taper from below the knee is the kind of look I'm trying to find with a roomier top block. I like my KMW 1980s, but the Spurrs are even softer than those; and the taper isn't as slim fitting. Sadface.

I'm considering buying a pair of the classic fit Spurrs from a member here, but since I'm away and sans tape measure and other denim I was hoping someone could answer a quick question with regards to the fit.

I wear a GAP authentic fit denim in 36, Nudie Even Steven in a 36 and Nudie Regular Alf in 36. Are the Spurrs going to fit similar to any of these?

soaking jeans does this to spurr classics:

i don't have my tape measure handy but i'm pretty damn sure the inseam shrunk at least an inch. my permanent advice after the pipes and classics is to soak spurrs as soon as you get them as it will not only change the fit a little but it stiffens them up so they crease up better.

Looking forward to it! I wish there was more non-denim talk in this thread, but I guess it's tougher to find those pieces. Everything I've seen in person has been fantastic quality though. I have a cashmere fisherman's sweater that I got off the B&S, and it's insanely nice.

Just thought I'd contribute to the thread. Sorry for the craptastic quality, don't have a true digital camera so these were taken by camera phone. These are the bootcuts, and probably my favorite jeans, even though they aren't liked much on the forum. Hope this adds to the thread.

I have 2 pairs of the same Spurr straight legs (long story). The ones in the fit pics are different than the ones on the ground. color is fairly accurate.

I'm getting a really fast wallet fade, but as you would imagine, for each having only about 2 weeks of wear, I don't have any other fading
