There are some really nice pieces but the collection as a whole is pretty run of the mill. Everyone raves about the quality but I haven't seen any yet. Simon Spurr is a bad ass though.

The fabrics are supposed to be incredible, although the price reflects this, which means I can never think of geting it.

Boring presentation. Much better than S/S09 but weaker than F/W08.

I like the puff jackets, the turtleneck, peacoat, and overcoat. The suiting has always been the strong point of what he's done so far.

Yeah, Spurr was the design director for RL's purple and black label lines.

A lot of designers from all levels seem to have taken inspiration from fabrics used in recent Jil Sander seasons.
