Since you asked, I think the top half (jacket, shirt, tie, and PS) work well together. However, I believe that the combo is too formal to work with jeans, and light wash jeans in particular. The jacket looks like like an orphaned suit jacket: flap pockets, material which looks like smooth worsted wool. A rougher wool, patch pockets, etc would dial the formality back some. I would stick with nice wool slacks in a contrasting, but complimentary color to match what you have going on above the waist.

I think I've arrived at the perfect jeans (for me). Higher rise (close to 11"), athletic fit which is roomy enough in the seat and thigh which tapers to a handsome slim ankle. And, the denim is a deep indigo selvedge. They check all my boxes.

They're Amazon's house brand and they cost $50.

When the weather cools down from this ungodly 95* we're enduring in the metro-NY area, I'll post a fit pic.

I would be interested in other measurements too—thigh in particular.
