i am pretty much convinced a brown tweedy SC is superior with jeans to grey herringbone or the other usual suspects. Recent fits from @DavidLane and @wigglr further validating that. Certainly not the only choice, but seems to be close to optimal to my eye.

I have had a similar coloured sportcoat (stolen by my lil brother about a month ago)

Cuffs appear to be too large for your legs. I have short legs and have the same issue

Went to an event with salient dress norms. A necktie would have been too formal (the few men wearing them looked out of place). Worn with a blue OCBD and suede chukkas.
