We did a photoshoot earlier this month and we shot a few outfits with jeans and sport coats. A girl on staff had seen a photo of Keanu Reeves in a hoodie and blazer, and asked if we could do a similar look. So this was a quick bonus shot. Any thoughts about a hoodie under a blazer?

13 yr old Levis, the cheap STFs (I think $20 at the Mervyns going out of business, RIP), with Chan/Breanish sc, Luxire shirt, no-name belt my sister bought for me in Florence in 1985, and Frye boots. Also posted in the recent Friday thread.

Just my opinion, but I think those jeans do the outfit a disservice. Such a lovely jacket.

I agree. Those oldies should be relegated to shoveling snow, yardwork and the like. The upper is just way too boxy

Can anyone offer tips on some sartorially acceptable jeans that can function as workhorses and won't break the bank? Would like to stay away from Levi for the most part. I literally don't own a single pair of jeans.

14.5 oz non-stretch Unbranded jeans in tapered (UB201), tight (UB401) or skinny fit (UB101) for $88 are extremely hard to beat. They look a lot more expensive than they cost and they age/fade wonderfully. The only con I can think of is that the pockets are a little shallow.

That's a no for me dawg. I hate small pockets with big arse phones these days.

I know you said you want to stay away from Levi's, but still I must say that their Hi-Ball Roll model is perfect for me fit-wise. I think you'll find mostly goofy pictures online, but if you try them in a shop you may be pleasantly surprised.
