Thanks to a g/f who forces me to eat and excess beer consumption over the summer, I too have a jacket that I cannot/should not button up

In the same vein I recently wore two things I haven't for years: jeans, and a navy DB SC... unbuttoned. I could feel the disapproval radiating from this sub forum.

Interesting, I have to use VPN to see your pics. I like the color. Anything but navy is good.

Bah some just didn't know the true timeless appeal of a sportjacket. 1 size fits an eternity! (into the casket)

That pic doesn't really show the color or texture very well. I'll fix that at some point

I wish. This one was from the glory days of Oliver Brown. The lapel is very softly canvassed, with a beautiful roll, if the gorge is a bit low by 2018 standards (suits me fine), and the cloth one of these sturdy, perfect draping British ones with just the right hint of purple in the navy. Just needs an extra inch or two to close. But I keep hoping I'll lose them.

To die with a full belly is having lived a fuller life than a fully covered belly :)

Dipping my tassel in... I think I need a better casual belt.

I do like the idea of polo suede or even a braided belt.

Tried this today (taken at Brooks Madison in NYC while scouting Oxford shirts...)

I'd also wear a pocketsquare or even a colored lapel pin to break the blues. Btw, the grey jacket + burgundy shirt on the right looks good.

    Riva,

If you are open to ideas, the texture of that shirt and sport coat are too similar for my taste. Same reason i dont wear a grenadine tie with a birsdeye suit
