Since you asked, I think the top half (jacket, shirt, tie, and PS) work well together. However, I believe that the combo is too formal to work with jeans, and light wash jeans in particular. The jacket looks like like an orphaned suit jacket: flap pockets, material which looks like smooth worsted wool. A rougher wool, patch pockets, etc would dial the formality back some. I would stick with nice wool slacks in a contrasting, but complimentary color to match what you have going on above the waist.
I think the fabric looks great! What do you think about this blazer? It’s reddish brown, medium light weight wool/cashmere. I’m thinking to wear it with white jeans. Do you think the pattern is too much?
This is great. Also kind of reminds of me some old (and similarly very good) @NOBD fits.
I would be interested in other measurements too—thigh in particular.I think I've arrived at the perfect jeans (for me). Higher rise (close to 11"), athletic fit which is roomy enough in the seat and thigh which tapers to a handsome slim ankle. And, the denim is a deep indigo selvedge. They check all my boxes.
They're Amazon's house brand and they cost $50.
When the weather cools down from this ungodly 95* we're enduring in the metro-NY area, I'll post a fit pic.
