Thank you, JensenH. May I please ask why you prefer the first one (subdued blue POW) over the other one?

Thanks!

Actually both jackets are nice. If you are concerned about either one looking like a orphaned jacket, then choose the first one with the POW pattern for it clearly is a sport coat.

It is also quite versatile as you can dress it down by wearing it with a pair of bone-colored cotton pants and a light blue or white polo shirt. Alternatively, you can dress it up with a sky blue shirt, maroon tie and light gray trousers.

The first one is nice (good pattern and lapel expression) but fit is everything. Nobody is going to call you out as wearing an orphaned suit jacket. I would throw some nice Brown Urea buttons or Smoked MOP, that would be sharpen it up a little. Plus that silk will help give it some wrinkle resistance.

Not a fan of the shoulder expression, I usually like something softer for sport coat.

If it doesn't look like a sport coat to you then don't buy it. It wont matter what any forum experts think. Get something that looks and feels right for you.

Personally, they look like very nice material and colors. But, I wouldn't wear them as a sport coat.

Thank you very much for your very kind help, gentlemen. Highly appreciated!

It all boils down to what I think about them and to be honest I really like both jackets; mainly because of the fit, material (it looks really terrific in real), lapel stance etc... It's rare for me to come across Caruso jackets and visiting Italy has helped me get a look at some of them. On top of it the price is very reasonable! I guess I'll pick one up...

Thanks once again!
