Based on this image, I'd call it "indiscernible."

It's a check of some sort.

I'd call it windowpane, but I may be wrong... It's hard to tell.

i apologize for the size of the image, i'm having a bit of trouble finding a better example. it is a thin, chalk pinstripe running both vertically and horizontally. i'd be very interested in buying a sport coat like this (on a charcoal base), but am having trouble with the "correct" descriptors for ease of googling. also, i'm still a novice when it comes to style, so i'd be very interested in thoughts / opinions on brands, etc.

again, appreciate the help!!

unfortunately, the lines are far thicker / darker than i was hoping for. do you gentlemen have any suggestions for where i can find something with a more subtle windowpane patter?

If you have requirements about the specific degree of subtleness of the pattern it's better to go and have it made by a tailor, they will have plenty of cloths from which to choose, unlike the rtw houses where check patterns are only available sporadically.
