1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

If you guys read the magazine 10 Men, you'll see that we (Styleforum people) were spoofed by Glenn O'Brien, by name. There was even mention of Uniqlo - high quality/low price. It's like getting mocked by Groucho Marx!

You guys all realize that the magazine is on newstands, right? If I could pick it up in Moscow, ID, you can pick it up pretty much anywhere. Go to your local Barnes&Noble.

Except that unlike O'Brien, Groucho Marx was actually good at what he did.

yeah dude it's too bad, honestly to survive print magazines need to develop more timeless content and less news/of-the-moment content. if i have to pick between keeping stacks of expensive paper and getting news a month late with only partial photos or getting everything as it happens on the internet, well, that's not a hard choice

Plus they need to have more presence as physical objects. Like the glossy high-fashion magazines my friend keeps throwing at me, they're beautiful, thick books that you would want to have on your shelf. As opposed to something like "People", which would not lose anything in the transition to web-page.

I think there's also room for an archived "news-in-review" style magazine, with essays on current events by high-caliber writers and thinkers. About the size of a novella, comes out quarterly, with little cartoons by Art Spiegelman and Chris Ware in the margins.

    White person fantasy dream periodical.

Every season 10men is the best 17.99USD I spend. Loved the "Mental Slut" editorial in the last issue. Haven't picked up the new yet though I seen it in B&N the other day.

Was this the issue with the soccer player on the front?

If so, I read the piece in it by O'Brien, but I didn't get the connection to any forum personas. It was surprisingly well written though, and enjoyable to read. I wonder if O'Brien has to dumb down his writing for GQ?
