Next up: Vass Shoes. They Make the Kaan on a couple of lasts. But my personal favourite is on their U last.

U really can't go wrong with Vass. They r hand-welted shoes at an excellent price point (Ascot shoes charges a premium, but if u go through other retail/online shop, u can get them at a very reasonable price)

Lets come to Crockett & Jones next.

Now, i love C&J but their split toes, IMO, are their worst looking shoes in their collection

Since they are C&J, they will be well made. but personally i don't like the look of the last and the shoe. some people might and hence i am including them here. This might be the only shoe of their i don't like

Enzo Bonefe Next.

They make a couple of split toes as well. Again Most of them are not that good looking according to me.

That being said. They did do a GMTO of a split toe with a norvegese welt which looked amazing to me. Unfortunately i missed out on those.

Next Up: TLB.

Their Owen shoe on the Oliver last represents great value for money at this price point.

Not one on my favourite last. I think it is not as refined. But u can not expect better at this price range

Next Up: Sons of Henrey

Their George Utah Calf is excellent.

As i sad earlier, As far as i know, At a price point bellow 400 Euros, u can't get a better looking last with this material combination. Its a win win for anyone considering a sub 400 Euro split derby. If that ur budget, and u want one, just pull the trigger and buy it.

For and extra Budget friendly option .. Meermin also makes some. But then i don't want to talk about the pros and cons of Meermin.. there are other threads dedicated for that

The last is reasonably attractive and balanced at this price point

Everyone know Carmina and they also make a good split toe derby.

Their main 2 models r on their Forest Last and Simpson Last.

I personally think the Simpson last looks better for this style

The Armoury also has a line of Split toes. designed in collaboration with Yohei Fukuda. They are made in england and are an excellent value proposition for under 500 USD

AJ speaking of Crockett and Jones you forgot to mention the Hardwick, which has the elegant 341 last.

What do you think of those?

@aj2603 thanks for making the overview of available split toes. Some are nicer than others, some simply seem to be on the wrong last (though that is a matter of taste), and some are secretly put on the wish list.

Yanko also seems to have several split toe derby's in its collection on the 915 and 960 last. No experience with them -- 915 looks more elegant in my opinion.

Next up : The five-eyelet Zonkey Boot split-toe Norwegian derby on the Classic last is made from Russian Reindeer.

Now i am also a bit unsure what they mean when they say Russian Reindeer. Because as far as i know only George Cleaverly has access to Russian Reindeer as authorised by the Prince of Wales.

Never the less.. these r good looking shoes

Great list aj - thanks for putting this together. I think I fall into a common thread here regarding this style. When I first started building my shoe collection I wasn't a fan, but the more I learn the more I appreciate its versatility and lines

I enjoy the Zonkey's. I acquired mine through a GMTO organized by @Burzan and have really fallen in love with the leather on these. The creasing is fantastic and the slightly contrasting stitching on the apron (lighter than the leather) really adds some visual interest.

On the leather - while they may call it Russian Reindeer it is not. It's Horween's hatch grain calf.
