Kinda like it, very unique - definitely would put a twist in my casual Friday wardrobe ...can comment on the stitching not my area of expertise...Just my recent MTO STD, overall very happy with how it turned out.
I sourced the HCP nubuck alligator myself and pushed the maker to experiment the handstitching. Unfortunately, the maker had less experience in crocs and the handstitching on the apron is subpar.

very nice, will try to check them out - almost hard to justify paying $1700 for EG when there are all these great options for 1/3 of the price. For those interested in a really good price, considering construction --- handlasted, handwelted, handstitched outsoles ---, Winson shoemakers puts out a beautiful product. Just look at these beauts with their hand stitched aprons and reverse splits. You would be looking at around $435-$550...

Ok, now I see the catch, they are based out of Indonesia and I assume no way to try shoes on, correct? MTO only? Any experience ordering shoes etc?Exactly! Whilst I love the EG Dover, this thread is indicative of that, the build quality of a Winson shoe is twice as good (provided you are an aficionado of hand work and details). Moreover, the Winson shoe is essentially a made to measure shoe. All this at 1/3 price.
I believe everyone on this forum is seeking a quality (on this occasion I am defining quality based on construction and leather quality) shoe below expected market value.

Makes sense, given the price it's worth a try... I also like the wholecuts on their website/instagram... if I dont pull the trigger on G&G Ellington/ antibes/ st thomas - maybe I'll give these a try...That is the catch yes. Lower wages equals lower cost to the consumer.
Unfortunately, only MTO so you would not be able to try on the shoes.
I do not have any experience, but I am trying to purchase some shoes from them. The conversations seem to be progressing well, but they are out of stock of the leather I was interested in (J&FJ Russian leather). So anyone interested please email him haha.
They come highly recommended by @ThunderMarch amongst others. I would assume he nor anyone who had purchased from Winson would not steer anyone in the wrong direction.

I totally agree, and must say very impressed with a lot of their designs... but then again let's see if my wallet survives the G&G trunk show in a couple weeks...It is definitely worth a try. Just makes economic sense to me to exhaust all potential MTO/MTM options, especially at this price, to ascertain fit and/or preferred aesthetic before proceeding to a Bespoke shoe at ten times the cost.
Truth be told, at almost less than three times the cost, it makes financial sense to purchase shoes from them than generic shoes from a good year welted manufacturer.
Saying all that, yes I still have the Dover in two different leathers haha ??
