Split toe derbies with brogued heels: an abomination?

I'm commissioning my first pair from Zee's / HK. I was sure about what I wanted (5-eyelet, a more rounded u-tip) until I casually said I could go with brogued heel counters... (WTF was I thinking?) It's not something featured in any split toe model I've seen, ever.

Should I call the store right away and ask them not to brogue the counters, or would the look be ok?

Agree that brogued heel counters are a bad idea.
