Just thought about starting this thread. Haven’t been a fan of this style but starting to like them. Please post your favorite ones: derby or monstrap, grain or smooth, leather or suede.

The split toe has also been growing on me as well, just took pictures off the websites but I have these-

Ive never really been a fan of split toe derbies but these two really caught my attention.

I guess EG Dover is the holy grail in this style. Would be good to see more mid price options. What do people think of monk strap split toe in general

@gbandi I have that exact Carmina style in black, I really like them, they just don't get a ton of love in my rotation. They just aren't as versatile as many of the laced styles that myself and others have posted. I would say if you already have a good rotation of shoes and want to add something different, I think they're an interesting model.

I agree, i prefer the look of the regular double monk strap, no split toe or apron stitch. Just much more versatile
