Based on his avatar, I'd expect that's the sole reason he wants them

Nothing worng w/ designer stuff. You're just getting the poor man's designer stuff that have logos plastered all over it and are marked up incredibly high to drive LVMH's profits.

Check out the WAYWT and Recent Purchases thread. You might like what these guys are up to: http://streetetiquette.com/. It is very different than your style but you may get a few ideas.

Well if you were drunk we understand. Not sure why you hate them, I assume it was because they were bought at MSRP.

A logo in the end is just a logo. With how widespread luxury brands are now, few people will be impressed by a LV logo unless you're planning on visiting China or something. They go nuts off of that ****.

It's not that they're not stylish *at all*, it's just that it displays values that you may not want to display (i.e. "I value the ability to openly display or brag about how much I pay for things"). Most people with class look at this as being a very negative thing, and that's why there isn't much love for LV here (since they refuse to make anything without their logo visible on it).

Stop trying to impress people w/brand names and get some quality clothes that fit. You will be surprised how much better you look in clothes that fit instead of clothes that scream "I'm a $500 shirt!!!!" Chasing brand trends in the NYC urban (Harlem) way is a losing game. Buying good looking clothes that fit = a sure bet. Good luck on your reinvention. I think you will find a lot of good ideas here.

Good thing the experts have arrived. Bloody hell. I have a gorgeous LV cashmere & silk sweater without any branding. Also a subtle blue-on-blue damier tie that doesn't say Louis/LV anywhere -- and it's not even easy to tell it's their damier print because the two shades are reasonably similar, at a glance it just looks like a solid blue tie.

I don't really regret any of my "expensive" purchases. (over $100) I guess some black Raf by Raf sneakers were kind of a wasted purchase. I don't like all black sneakers. Maybe my black coated 316 jeans, fit was off.

which is strange when you think about it, considering how easy it is to find counterfeit stuff there
