i love it, so it's not a HORRIBLE purchase, just don't use it nearly as much as i'd like.

That sounds like a nice purchase. I don't consider the worse purchases I've ever made to be those that I don't use much, just those that I hate.

I'm not sure what I worse purchase was though. Probably something bought on super high discount that I bought purely because it was a "bargain", though I don't do this much, so nothing comes to mind immediately. Much easier to think of "best purchases".

The single worst expensive item I ever bought was not clothes related. I bought a Cadillac and it was the biggest most unreliable broke every other week POS I ever had the displeasure of owning.

Clothes related. Hmmm nothing comes to mind at the moment other than maybe one or two of my Stetson hats that I bought on a whim and never really wear.

I thrift most of my stuff, but my first suit, bought in 2002 before I knew anything, was $150 (a decent bunch of cash for a broke student) and was a fake Italian brand. I have worn it less that 4 times and it sits in my basement; I will never wear that ill-fitting, polyester POS ever again.

I always thought SW&D was more expensive simply because you guys are willing to pay above 20% of retail while we're stingy mofos that need 90% off.

Was it one of those fakety-fake Italian brands you see on Amazon that always sell their suits for 90% off the supposed retail?
