They are Goodyear welted with an open channel sole. However, the channel is not "sunken in" or "trench" style, for lack of a better term. I've attached a picture of the photo sample boot as a reference.
I actually wondered about the technique a while ago after seeing on some shoes. If the channel or the threads is not "sunken in" and exposed like that, wouldn't that make the stitchings wear out faster?

Jumper boots look great. I’ve never owned dress boots like those before. Can you wear them with a suit or more for sport coat odd trousers?
Cap toe, flat welt. I would wear them with a suit if the occasion were not too formal. Especially a more casual suiting, like flannel.

Just to be sure - on the monk straps - I typically wear a 9.5D in most Allen Edmonds dress shoes, however, fit best in 9D in loafers. I am assuming I should go 9D on the monks?

While the exposed stitching may wear faster if not channeled, it is lockstitched so the threads will not pull through even if the exposed loops are worn through. At least that is my understanding.

Yup. As you wear down the sole of a shoe with channels this happens as well, just a not further along in the life of the sole.

Sorry about that. It turns out those items weren't supposed to be uploaded today. We're still putting the finishing touches on the product information & copy. They've been removed for now, but rest assured, they should be put back up on Monday. Apologies for any confusion.

If the quality is the fully canvased suits are as good as the rest of the line up, no more Hickey Freeman for me from now on. It would be the highest value full canvas suits around. Plus no sales tax and no shipping. Can’t beat that.

I was curious who OTR Full Canvas would appeal to outside of SF but I see your point.

Having seen the clientele that shops the brick and mortar stores I had my doubts.

I can’t recall - did S&M do any site wide sale for Boxing Day last year, or is Black Friday generally the big one?

MTO question... Is Covert Twill (VBC, one with trousers on offering in OTR section) available through on line MTO? Asking for navy specifically.
