Anyone else wishing for a green summer (fresco, hopsack or maybe linen) OTR sport coat? Looks like there's a beautiful HMS green fresco available MTO (pictured below) but would there not be sufficient interest to offer this kind of thing OTR?

Yes, the Sid Mashburn green leno hopsack has me dying for a cheaper alternative. I'd love if SM could do one in a similar fabric/shade.

For people who wear their trousers at the natural waist, how do you deal with the sitting dilemma. I find I need to keep the waist tight in order to keep the trousers at the right spot; however, when I sit down this leads to discomfort. Should I just loosen the waist? What's the sweet spot here?

Edit: I don't have washboard abs but I don't have a gut either.

Seat and thigh may be too tight. Rise also may not have been adjusted to be worn as high as you’re trying to wear them. The way your u-rise is measured may be completely different from the way the pattern is cut to sit on an average persons body.

All summer long I’ve seen girls do the high-waisted sweat-short thing with the back rise getting swallowed up by their ... you know. No complaints on my end. However, reason being:

If the waist is cut to sit 4 inches above the fullest portion of your seat, it won’t look or feel very comfortable when hiked up to 7” above the fullest portion of the seat.

Depending on where it feels too tight, alterations should be adjusted accordingly.

Can anyone post a pic of the Teal Polo coat? I’m trying to see if the color/shade is too close to the Rust from last year.

I would need almost a 14" rise to get to my belly button. Anything under 12" for me is really pushing it in terms of what I want, which is sadly why I haven't pulled the trigger on a pair of S&M trousers.
This is similar to me. Though I do have SM pents, and wouldn't hesitate to purchase them again, I'm resigned that they are "low"-ish rise in my lexicon. But, given their starting rise, I think SM is a GREAT MTM jumping off point.

What's up Vladamir? You're the reason I'm here in the first place.

Sorry, but I can't help with the coat.

Can someone briefly explain to me the cuts? What's diff about neopolitan cut?

Side question - 42 susu sienna fits me...would 42 S&M fit?

Quick question. For those of you who have ordered dress shirts from SM that you ended up returninng, how did you package them to send back? Did you fold them back up the way they came and put all the cardboard back in and put the plastic clasps back on?

Can't answer your susu question, but the Neo cut is basically minor changes. It's a tad longer, a tad wider in the shoulders (.25" for both length and shoulders, if I remember correctly), but the main change is the lapel which is now a 3 roll 2 instead of a standard 2 button.

The Neo cut seems to be the preferred SF fit choice here. I can't say I disagree, but I also like the regular cut just fine as well.

I "roughly" repackage them with all the clips. I can't say I'd be any good at getting the factory fold, but all the clips are there should the store want to make a better attempt.

visiting NYC for a week, went to an event tonight at J. Mueser, saw half the menswear dudes I follow on Instagram, fit in pretty well in my SM shirt and tweed.
