This may seem like a silly question but whatever. For RTW trousers, how do people pick the waistband position?

I'm on the shorter side so sometimes a regular rise may sit a bit higher on me. That said, I've noticed if I try to position trousers at the wrong point (often I try higher than maybe intended) the fit is not correct. How do you find the right positioning?

For RTW, I wear them at the position where they're most comfortable for me. If they aren't "supposed" to sit there by design, they aren't the right trousers for me. I have, sadly, bought many pairs of trousers and jeans that I thought I would eventually learn to love, despite having a lower rise than I like. They all hang, unworn, in my closet.

Good afternoon, guys. I'm looking for a little help. I've been eyeing the Drago Brown Prince of Wales suit but its a final sale and I need a little more information before I feel confident enough to pull the trigger. So, first, should I expect the fit to be similar to the Bottoli Slub? It's the only S&M product I own, so far, and it needed to be let out a little around the waist and the sleeves pulled up as well. Second, would you say that the POW jacket would be versatile enough to pair with, say, navy or dark brown dress pants? Thanks!

@orange fury That looks fantastic! Which coat is that?

last year’s Zanieri polo coat in black and white herringbone. It’s like wearing a blanket.

I pulled the trigger on it over the summer when one popped up on heavy discount. It was a size up (40R, I normally wear 38R contemporary), but I think it still works well.

That Drago suit should fit the same as your Botto slub jacket, since they’re both standard, non-Neapolitan cuts. As long as you match slim for slim or contemporary for contemporary.

As for pairing the suit jacket with odd pants, it might not work. It’s got flap pockets, so might stick out as too obviously an orphaned suit jacket.
