No news on the suit so can't add how the jacket feels but I should be getting the Minnis fresco trousers today. I'll let you know how the pants feel at least. Imagine the weight will be a nice drape.

That was why I went with Minnis over the lighter VBC- I felt like the heavier weight would drape better and might be a touch more durable, since the intent is for these to become go-to summer dress pants for me.

If I like these, I’ll probably pick up a pair or two of the VBC version as well. I’ll have to see how I like the linen/cotton and if I want more colors of that first.

Side tabs! All the side tabs!

Minnis doen't F*** around. haha. Ignore the weight. It's weave. Very open and porous. Air moves through very easily. Similar to the Fresco which is also 300+ grams, but wears very cool.
Coincidentally, I ordered the Minnis linen trousers this morning. Can't wait. Now lighting candles against the appearance of the dreaded OOS email in my box

A good quality fabric brush. The fibres have been pressed down and are compacted. Run the brush gently over the area to bring the fibres back up.

Great advice - worked like a charm!
Any suggestions on who sells a nice fabric brush
for a reasonable price? (which I think excludes the guy who polishes shoes wearing a tux)

Not sure if this is a shot at Kirby Allison, but I think I want it to be

They'll be going back shortly - just waiting to see if I have to send the minnis jacket back too (which is coincidentally also sold out in size 46).
I just touched base with Sherry about the vbcs you are sending back! Got my dibs on them!
Hope you don't have to send back the minnis 46 jacket.

Gents, I'm looking to part with several size 40L contemporary sportcoats from FW18. See post below for more details and links.
WTS: Looking to offload a few BNWT, unworn, and unaltered size 40L contemporary sportcoats from FW18. Have come to realize size 42L is just a better fit for me. See classified links below:

1) VBC Blue & Brown Gun Check
2) VBC Green Check
3) Brisbane Moss "New" Lovat Moleskin

All jackets are size 40L contemporary fit. Asking $250 for each of the VBC's and $150 for the Brisbane Moss moleskin. Free shipping within continental US. Willing to consider offers, particularly if you want to buy more than one. Those interested, feel free to PM me.

Oh, that's what the valet's always doing on Downton Abbey. I thought he was taking the lint off Lord Grantham's dinner jacket.

Tobacco linen came in today. Very weighty fabric. Initial fit seems ok. Will see if I keep it now.
And yet, somehow I don't see any pics. Although we were dying to hear that the initial fit was ok, we'd actually rather see how the jacket looks.

Kent. Made for royalty.

$36 for the base model on amazon. Is that reasonable?

2nd the Kent suggestion, and $36 is worth it (though, full disclosure, I don’t own one- it’s on my amazon short list). I’ve owned a couple Kent beard/mustache combs- they’re hand made in England, and the quality is head and shoulders above what you’ll find elsewhere. Everything I’ve read about the clothes brush corroborates that.

Oh, that's what the valet's always doing on Downton Abbey. I thought he was taking the lint off Lord Grantham's dinner jacket.

That’s a use for it. A clothing brush is much better for clothes than a lint roller.

Shipping notification on the linen/cotton pants, now just waiting to hear on the fresco. Excited to see these in person.
