I think it's best of both worlds: the silk and touch of cashmere gives it a real softness and keeps it from being scratchy while the linen and hopsack means I don't feel the need to baby it. So it feels like the Goldilocks zone of not being too precious or rough.

If it wasn't already sweltering like the desert here I'd kop the wheat herringbone linen and silk suit + the brown herringbone silk jacket, both look dope.

$100 CDN off select sports jackets today.

[Side query - never thought about this before but do US customers have a different discount on this promo...like maybe $75 USD off...to account for exchange rate difference?]

Pushed me across the line to grab this one:

Both the jacket and the trousers are contemporary fit. I had the waist taken in on the jacket.

Picked this one up a few weeks ago. It's really nice, although a little more substantial than I thought. Definitely on the English end of summer weight.

Cool - thanks for the info! I live in the PNW, so "summer" here is rarely that hot...probably more in line with England than most inland areas of North America in summer!

This entire week's forecast here is for highs between 63-68F...in mid-June...

Do you happen to have a pic wearing the jacket? Would love to see it on a real person - lol!

Sorry, not yet. I still haven’t taken it to the tailor.

Thanks for the reply! I will wait patiently for mine to arrive and see for myself - fingers crossed.

Two polos, same except for color. The blue is unworn. Grey is washed once, cold water, line dry. Shrank about 1.5” all around! I only know a few other things that shrink so much in cold water 😓
I pull my shirts after washing to reshape them. Yeah, they fooking shrink like crazy.

Yeah, it's a nice shirt but they should tell you to buy a size up from whatever fits comfortably when you try them on. I bought some in L and some in XL and ending up keeping one of each, because I thought I could make the L work based on how it fit pre-washing. I can still wear it but it's definitely way tighter than I was expecting and would be like it to be.

I guess it's better to pay $45 to find that out vs the $100 some other places charge, but it's still an expensive lesson that could be avoided with a little warning on the product page.

Ha I got them during a 20% off sale items” promo so I think they were about $20! Guess I’ll just have to exercise a wee bit more…
